1. Wig Basics

  • Are Verawig wigs made with 100% human hair?

Yes. Our wigs are made with 100% human hair, offering a natural look, realistic movement, and versatile styling.

  • Will the wig shed or tangle?

Some minimal shedding is normal with human hair wigs, especially during brushing and styling. Curly and wavy textures may require more care and can be more prone to tangling.

To minimize shedding and tangling, detangle gently from the ends upward and avoid excessive pulling or heat.

  • Is it normal for a new wig to have a slight smell?

A light scent may be noticeable when a wig is first unpacked due to packaging and processing. It should fade after the wig is aired out.

If you notice an unusually strong or persistent odor, please contact us before washing or altering the wig.

  • Can I dye, bleach, straighten, or curl the wig?

Yes. Human hair can generally be colored and heat-styled. However, bleaching and frequent chemical or heat treatments can affect the hair and shorten its lifespan.

For major color changes, we recommend working with a professional stylist.

2. Lace & Hairline

  • What is the difference between HD lace and transparent lace?

HD Lace: Thinner and more delicate, designed for a more seamless, melted appearance.

Transparent Lace: Slightly more durable and versatile for everyday wear, while still providing a natural look.

Choose HD lace if your priority is an especially seamless hairline. Choose transparent lace if you prefer a balance of natural appearance and durability.

  • What does "pre-plucked" mean?

A pre-plucked wig has some hair removed from the front hairline to create a more natural-looking shape, rather than a perfectly straight, dense hairline.

  • What does "pre-cut lace" mean?

Pre-cut lace means the excess lace around the hairline has already been trimmed, reducing the amount of customization needed before wearing the wig.

  • What does "pre-bleached" mean?

Pre-bleached knots are treated to make the individual hair knots on the lace appear less visible, helping create a more natural scalp-like appearance.

  • Why does my lace still look visible?

Even with HD or transparent lace, the final appearance depends on factors such as:

Lace placement
Cap fit
Skin tone
Lighting
Hairline customization
Melting and blending technique

Lace tint, foundation, melting spray, or mousse can help improve the blend.

  • How can I make my lace look more natural?

For a better melt:

Make sure the wig fits securely.
Position the lace correctly along your hairline.
Use lace tint or a small amount of foundation if needed.
Apply melting spray or mousse.
Tie the hairline down for several minutes.
Remove excess product gently.

3. Cap Size, Fit & Installation

  • How do I know which wig cap size I need?

Measure the circumference of your head around your natural hairline and compare it with the size information on the product page.

A proper fit should feel secure without excessive pressure.

  • How do I measure my head for a wig?

Use a soft measuring tape to measure:

① Circumference: Around your entire hairline
② Front to Nape: From your forehead hairline to the back of your neck
③ Ear to Ear: Across the top of your head from one ear to the other

Always check the specific product's size guide before ordering.

  • What if the wig feels too tight or too loose?

First, check that the wig is positioned correctly and adjust the straps or elastic system if available.

If the cap still feels uncomfortable, contact us before cutting the lace or making any permanent alterations.

  • Are Verawig wigs beginner-friendly?

Yes. We offer glueless, wear-and-go, and other beginner-friendly styles designed to make installation easier.

  • Do I need glue to wear a glueless wig?

No. Glueless wigs are designed to be worn without adhesive. Depending on the design, adjustable straps, elastic bands, combs, or other securing features help keep the wig in place.

For the best fit, always check the installation method listed on the product page.

  • Can I install the wig myself?

Yes. Many of our glueless and beginner-friendly wigs can be installed at home.

If you are new to wigs, we recommend starting with a glueless or pre-cut lace style.

4. Density, Length & Style

  • What wig density should I choose?

150% — Light & Natural
Best for a lightweight, subtle everyday look.

180% — Balanced & Versatile ⭐
Our recommended all-around choice for natural fullness and styling versatility.

200% — Full & Glamorous
Best if you prefer thicker hair, bigger curls, and more volume.

If you're unsure, 180% is a great place to start.

  • How do I choose the right wig length?

Consider both your desired look and your usual styling routine.

Shorter lengths are generally easier to maintain, while longer wigs create a more dramatic look and may require more care.

Always check the product photos and listed length before ordering.

  • How is wig length measured?

Straight textures are generally measured from the top of the wig to the ends.

For curly and wavy textures, the hair may appear shorter because of natural curl or wave shrinkage.

  • Why does my curly or wavy wig look shorter than the listed length?

Curly and wavy hair naturally shrinks because of its curl pattern. The stretched length may be longer than the length you see when the hair is in its natural curl or wave pattern.

  • Which texture is easiest to maintain?

Straight and body wave textures are generally easier to maintain.

Curly and deep wave textures offer more volume but require more moisture and gentle detangling to maintain their shape.

5. Styling & Care

  • Can I use heat on my wig?

Yes. Human hair wigs can be heat-styled, but excessive heat can cause dryness and damage.

Always use a heat protectant and a moderate temperature, and follow any product-specific heat recommendations.

  • How often should I wash my wig?

There is no fixed schedule. Wash your wig when you notice product buildup, excess oil, or the hair no longer feels clean.

Frequent washing can shorten the lifespan of the hair, so avoid washing more often than necessary.

  • What products should I use?

We recommend lightweight, moisturizing products made for human hair.

Avoid excessive heavy oils, waxes, and product buildup, especially around the lace.

  • How should I care for curly or wavy hair?

Use plenty of moisture, detangle gently from the ends upward, and avoid brushing dry curls aggressively.

Use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb when appropriate and refresh the curls with a lightweight product.

  • Can I sleep or exercise while wearing my wig?

You can, but removing your wig before sleeping is recommended to reduce friction and help extend its lifespan.

For workouts, glueless styles are generally more convenient. Secure the wig properly and avoid excessive sweat or friction when possible.

  • How should I store my wig?

Make sure the wig is clean and completely dry before storing it.

Place it on a wig stand or mannequin head, or store it in a clean satin/silk bag in a cool, dry place.

Avoid folding or pulling the lace.

6. Orders & Shipping

  • How long does shipping take?

Most orders are processed within 3–6 business days.

Standard U.S. shipping usually takes 4–8 business days after processing.

Expedited shipping options may be available at checkout.

  • How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, we'll send you a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number.

Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking information to begin updating after shipment.

  • Why hasn't my tracking information updated?

Tracking may take 24–48 hours to update after the package is handed to the carrier.

Occasional delays can also occur due to carrier volume, weather, holidays, or other transportation issues.

  • Can I change or cancel my order?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order.

We accept cancellation or change requests within 12 hours of purchase. Once processing or shipment has started, changes may no longer be possible.

  • Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship to many countries and regions worldwide.

Shipping availability and delivery times may vary depending on the destination.

  • Will I have to pay customs or import fees?

International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or other fees depending on the destination country.

Any applicable customs or import charges are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise stated at checkout.

7. Returns, Exchanges & Issues

  • Can I return my wig if I change my mind?

Yes. Eligible returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

The wig must meet our return conditions. Please review our Return Policy before sending anything back.

  • Can I exchange my wig?

Eligible exchange requests should be submitted within 7 days of delivery.

Please contact Customer Service before returning the item so we can provide the correct instructions.

  • Can I return a wig after cutting the lace?

Generally, altered wigs may not qualify for a standard return or exchange.

This includes cutting the lace, washing, dyeing, bleaching, plucking, installing, or otherwise altering the wig.

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us before making any changes.

  • What if I received the wrong or damaged wig?

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos or videos of the issue.

Do not wash, cut, install, or alter the wig before contacting us.

  • When will I receive my refund?

Once an approved return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed according to our Return Policy.

Your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
